Dr. Berry’s current research on methodology focuses on the development of techniques for estimating econometric models with binary dependent variables, and methods for studying policy diffusion using geographical information systems. |

Dr. Cobbe is Professor of Economics at FSU. He has been at FSU since 1976 and previously taught at the University of Botswana, Lesotho, and Swaziland, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. His PhD is from Yale and his BA from the University of Cambridge, U.K. At FSU he has been Associate Dean [1985-1989] and Interim Dean [1986-87] of the College of Social Sciences, and Director of Graduate Studies in Economics [1990-1997] before becoming Chair of the Department. He has worked in more than fifteen countries in the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. | |

Dr. deHaven-Smith is a former President of the Florida Political Science Association, he is the author, coauthor, or editor of 15 books on topics ranging from religion and political philosophy to Florida government and politics. While at FSU, he has held a number of positions applying academic knowledge to problems of public policy.

Dr. Mesev's research include integration of GIS and remote sensing; urban information interpretation and morphological analysis using GIS and remote sensing; GIS measures of ethno-religious segregation in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Dr. Weissert's current research projects address interest groups on health policy, including how interest groups choose their preferred governmental venue; the impact of state legislative term limits; and the policy and intergovernmental importance of federal grant waivers. |
 |
Dr. Weissert studies the role of political institutions, including interest groups, in shaping health policy, the effectiveness and costs of health policy and in particular long-term care policy and incentive structures.
