Dr. Allen currently serves as editor-in-chief of the Florida Music Director and on the editorial board of the Journal of String Research.

 

Dr. Beckman enjoys an active career as administrator, pianist, and pedagogue. As soloist, collaborative recitalist, and chamber musician, he performs frequently throughout the United States and Europe, with recent and upcoming concerts in New York (Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall), France, Germany, and the Ukraine. He has been featured on radio and television broadcasts, and continues to serve as accompanist for national and international competitions and conferences.



As a choral educator, Dr. Bowers is an active conductor of all-state and honor choirs across the United States. She frequently presents workshops and clinics for teachers, and her research interests include learning partnerships, developmental choral groups, the adolescent voice change, and at-risk music students.

 

Dr. Clendinning teaches undergraduate courses in eighteenth-century counterpoint, twentieth-century styles, music since World War II, accelerated music theory, and graduate courses in the history of music theory, atonal analysis, and other topics related to twentieth-century music.

 


Dr. Geringer teaches courses in Perception and Cognition of Music, Research in Music, Acoustics and Psychoacoustics of Music, and related areas.

Dr. Madsen is the Coordinator of Music Education/Music Therapy/Contemporary Media and teaches in the areas of music education, music therapy, research, and psychology of music. He serves on various international and national editorial and research boards and is widely published throughout scholarly journals in music education and therapy.


Dr. Standley is Director of the Music Therapy program and teaches in the areas of music therapy principles and procedures and the use of music in medical treatment and counseling. She is editor of The Journal of Music Therapy and is widely published. Her primary area of research is in the use of music in the care and development of premature infants.
